These conditions apply to all sales concluded through the izhaba.com website or through Les Éditions Izhaba.

1. Product availability

Products we have in stock are normally dispatched within 48 hours. Books that we do not keep in stock can be ordered and will be delivered within two to three weeks, except for European orders, which can take from 2 to 12 weeks. However, Éditions Izhaba cannot be held responsible for failure to meet delivery deadlines.

2. Prices

Prices displayed on the izhaba.com website are in Canadian dollars, before taxes and shipping. Books are sold in accordance with the provisions of the Loi sur le développement des entreprises québécoises dans le domaine du livre. The price is payable in full in a single instalment at the time the order is placed. All orders are payable in Canadian dollars. For deliveries outside Canada, any customs duties and local taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. Please note that the exchange rates applied are those in force on the day the order is placed or when it is reimbursed. Éditions Izhaba cannot be held responsible for any difference in currency due to the exchange rate applied by the customer’s bank.

3. Shipping costs

Shipping costs cover preparation and packaging, plus postage. They are established according to the delivery address, the number of items ordered and the total amount of the order, before taxes and shipping costs. Under no circumstances may a customer combine several orders to benefit from reduced shipping costs.

4. Payment

Orders placed on the izhaba.com website must be paid by credit card. We accept VISA, MASTERCARD and AMERICAN EXPRESS.

5. Delivery time

Orders for products in stock must be processed within two working days, plus an average of one to three working days for delivery in Quebec. Éditions Izhaba cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery resulting from a stock shortage at the distributor or attributable to the carrier.

6. Return of goods

The items supplied by Les Éditions Izhaba.com are new and guaranteed without defect. In the event that an item is defective or does not correspond to what was ordered, Les Éditions Izhaba undertakes to reimburse it, including shipping costs, within 10 days of the delivery date, provided that it is accompanied by the delivery slip or a copy of Les Éditions Izhaba.com’s invoice.

If the product is not defective, no return or refund will be considered.

7. Digital products

The customer may download digital products purchased on the izhaba.com website as soon as the transaction has been accepted. The number of downloads allowed and the number of devices on which the same digital file can be installed may change without notice and vary according to distributor and publisher.

The digital files acquired are works of authorship and are protected by the Copyright Act. In accordance with this law, the purchase of digital files is reserved for personal, private and free use. Any reproduction other than that authorized for downloading, adaptation, collective use, resale or rental is absolutely forbidden and may be subject to legal action.

The end user undertakes to respect the rights of authors, performers and publishers of digital books and not to circumvent or undermine the techniques used to control the use of downloaded digital books. Otherwise, any use outside the framework defined in these general terms and conditions of sale constitutes an act of counterfeiting, which exposes the end user to legal proceedings.

No exchange, credit or refund will be accepted after confirmation of a transaction for the sale of a digital product. Éditions Izhaba cannot be held responsible for any compatibility problems between a digital product and an electronic device, resulting in particular from changes in reading software or technical file protection measures, except in the event that the product description displayed is inaccurate. Finally, Les Éditions Izhaba cannot guarantee the availability of the latter for additional downloads in the future, when more than 72 hours have elapsed following the purchase. It is the sole responsibility of the customer to save files purchased through Les Éditions Izhaba.com and to make backup copies of these files.
